I'M DONNA CLAYTON,
THE SOLO ACADEMY CONSULTANT
I help Solo Salon Owners in the Hair & Beauty Industries create a second income stream by setting up a Training Academy
I have been in the industry for 23 years, starting out in Salon and Spa's and entering teaching in Further Education very early on. My FE teaching career spans 14 years, in that time I taught, managed programs and teams across Level 2 and Level 3 Beauty Therapy. Guest taught across Level 2 and Level 3 Nail Services, BTEC, ITEC and Holistic programs. I was part of the quality assurance process acting as an internal quality assurance verifier both for the college and private institutions.
I have been the owner of Metis Beauty Academy since 2013/4, running both as a VTCT centre and Accredited course provider. I openly admit, it was a tough start stepping out on my own, even with my vast teaching experience and Foundation Degree in Business Management, tough lessons were learnt from many mistakes along the way, but I have built a reputable Training Academy that runs on word of mouth and return custom.
I now share my highs and lows from setting up an Academy, and all my tips under my Academy Program's and courses.
